Geïnspireerd als een moderne kijk op de klassieke 'Branston Pickle', is dit recept ontwikkeld door Nathanael Boarer, geïnspireerd door de verhalen van zijn overgrootvader (Charles Joseph Tween) die voor, tijdens en na de Tweede Wereldoorlog werkte voor Branston Pickle in Bermondsey, Londen . Volgens de legende ging in die tijd bijna alles in een pot Branston.
